Hello everyone!

March 2026 was an eventful month for the Cellframe team. We actively worked on key platform components, improved user experience, enhanced security, and prepared major updates. We are ready to share the details of what was accomplished over the month.

Cellframe Wallet

In March, our team focused on making Cellframe Wallet more convenient and reliable for all users. We did a lot of work on the interface, fixed bugs, and improved the functionality of key features — and now we want to share what exactly has changed.

Interface Scaling. The team carried out comprehensive work to improve the interface: freezes have been eliminated, scaling mechanisms have been updated, and over 250 elements have been reworked. As a result, the interface now displays correctly in all modes and at any zoom level.

Navigation and Mode Selection. The navigation menu in horizontal mode has been updated: new colors and visual style make it more convenient. We also fixed the node mode selection component (Local/Remote/Light).

Password Entry. Working with password forms has been simplified: the Enter key now submits the form in all cases, and if there are two fields, the focus automatically moves to the confirmation field. When entering non-Latin characters, a warning appears, and on mobile platforms, the keyboard layout switches automatically.

Network Panel. The Sync network and On network buttons are now blocked while the node is initializing, and the network status indicators look the same in both horizontal and vertical modes.

Logs and Certificates. Logs are now separated: Wallet logs and Node logs are handled separately with caching, and pausing completely stops updates. Redundant and spam log entries have also been eliminated.

Wallet. Text overlap in balance displays during transaction queues has been fixed. The Shared Funds section has been updated: the transaction list from Light mode no longer persists when switching to Local mode, and loaders on the Transactions page have been improved. Also, unlock messages now display correctly even when there is no internet connection.

Overall, March was a month of fine but very important work on the stability, interface, and usability of Cellframe Wallet. We fixed many small issues that directly affect user comfort, and it has now become even more reliable and intuitive for users.

Cellframe Node and SDK

In March, the team continued active work on the node and SDK, while simultaneously preparing several releases — 5.7, 5.8, and 6.0.

As part of version 5.7, planned work was carried out: bug fixes, targeted improvements, and further development of Cellframe DEX. At the same time, release 5.8 — an intermediate update before 6.0 — reached its final stage. Its main focus is new network and transport protocols applicable to both blockchain and VPN. These changes are aimed at increasing speed, improving connectivity between nodes, resilience to DPI, and overall network stability.

Particular attention was paid to network resilience: reworked transport mechanisms reduce the impact of proxies, filters, and unstable connections, ensuring more reliable infrastructure operation.

Preparation for release 6.0 also advanced significantly: automated tests (including docker-based scenarios) have been successfully passed, component refinement is nearing completion, and preparation for testnet testing is in its final stages. In the coming weeks, the version will enter active testing.

Cryptography and Performance

One of the most significant areas was a deep rework of the cryptographic core.

The team rewrote most of the primitives, accelerating key operations by 5–10 times, optimized hash functions and signature verification, and switched to our own implementations instead of third-party libraries.

The performance of algorithms (including Kyber and CRYSTALS-Dilithium / ML-DSA) has been improved, and both of these forms will work 5–10 times faster than before and 10–20% faster than current leaders. New key exchange schemes, such as NTRU Prime, have also been added.

An important innovation is the mechanism of derivative keys: a unique one-time key is used for each data packet, significantly increasing security and resilience to traffic analysis.

A transition to ChaCha20 — the fastest and most advanced block cipher algorithm — has also been completed, which has noticeably improved its efficiency.

WASM Integration and Cellframe SDK Development

A significant step was the integration of WebAssembly (WASM) into the upcoming release 6.0. Moreover, the SDK now compiles to WASM, rather than simply interacting with it.

This opens up the possibility of running cryptography and even a node directly in the browser, simplifying the creation of web wallets, extensions, and cross-platform applications.

In addition, the foundation is being laid for WASM smart contracts and full-fledged web3 services. A significant part of the infrastructure for this direction has already been implemented, and only the API layer remains to be completed.

Other Activities

As for other activities, things are quite eventful there as well!

We returned with the first NewsBlock of 2026, in which we shared all the news from the beginning of the year.

In March, we released a substantial piece on a topical issue: "The Future of Blockchain. How to Survive Q-Day and Stay Afloat?" In it, we discussed the powerful development of quantum technologies, which are already calling blockchain security into question.

Be sure to read it if you missed it: as always, on our blog on the Cellframe website.

There you will also learn why L2 solutions and other add-ons do not solve the problem, and which approaches will really help survive Q-day.

We also managed to conduct several interviews for our large documentary project on quantum security and beyond, which we will definitely tell you about on our social networks — don't miss it!

We closed the first season of the ambassador program and have already started the second!

We are preparing for the Blockchain Forum in Moscow, which will take place on April 14-15! The program promises to be as eventful as ever, and we plan to spend this time with maximum benefit! We will try to cover the event as much as possible on social media!

We held our traditional AMA session with Dmitry Gerasimov and answered your questions. A transcript is also available on our blog on the website.

The entire month showed: Cellframe is not only developing technologies but also actively building a community, sharing knowledge, and attracting new participants to the ecosystem. Thank you for staying with us — even more exciting things lie ahead!
