Worklog. July result
Category: Development Report
Hello everyone!
In July, the Cellframe team worked hard on new developments and improvements.
Read about the most interesting ones in our detailed worklog!
Web Development
This month, we fixed an issue when switching between wallets on the Cellframe Bridge website. Now everything works correctly!
We changed the display of the stake price on the Cellframe staking website — now the amount of tokens you’ve staked is shown in dollars.
Also, in July, we updated the Privacy Policy on the Demlabs website.
Cellframe Auction
Work on the Cellframe Auctions website is nearing the finish line!
In July, we implemented a delayed auction launch feature, allowing auctions to start automatically at your scheduled time.
For each auction, we added dynamic status display. Users will be able to track the current price and remaining time in real time.
And to ensure an auction ends at a random moment, we adapted Verifiable Random Function (VRF) technology and integrated it into the Cellframe blockchain. This prevents any cheating — for example, when bots could outbid at the last second before the auction closes.
We also improved transaction processing to ensure your bids are handled quickly and reliably.
Cellframe Node and SDK
In July, we dedicated time to working on Cellframe Auction. We developed a Command Line Interface (CLI) for interacting with auctions and integrated a verifier into the ledger for adding and removing auctions. Additionally, besides the public key, token, amount, and status, we included the transaction creator’s address in the transaction dump.
We also implemented the ability to complete a hard fork after a node restart.
Furthermore, we developed a utility for viewing transaction chains with customizable search depth.
Cellframe Wallet
In July, we updated the seed phrase format. Previously, users could only generate a 24-word seed phrase, but now we’ve adopted a more common standard by adding the option to create a 12-word seed phrase. You can now choose the most suitable option.
For remote operation mode, we added a connection history to nodes: all IP addresses you’ve ever connected to are now displayed in the Settings tab.
We noticed that some users encountered an error when exporting log files. To fix this, we added an additional check before export to ensure the command executes correctly.
Python Plugins
In July, we resumed work on the dApps tab in Cellframe Wallet and set up the environment for QML and Python. This should speed up further development so our users can start creating their own decentralized applications as soon as possible.
We’re also preparing plugins for the Cellframe Node 6.0 release. Since a hard fork is planned for this release, the entire Cellframe infrastructure — staking, the bridge, and more — must be ready for it.
Additionally, we’re actively updating the current version of Cellframe SDK.
Tech Writing
This month, we implemented AI for technical documentation. With its help, we’ve translated technical documentation into 100+ languages.
Other Activities
In July, we celebrated a major milestone — Cellframe Mainnet’s Birthday! This year marked 3 years since the network’s launch. The party, organized by the CPUNK team, took place on July 12 in Istanbul. A highlight of the evening was a DJ set by Cellframe’s lead, Dmitry Gerasimov. It was a vibrant and fun event!
We’re constantly working to improve our products to make them even more convenient and useful for you. In July, we announced the start of CustDev research and invited users to participate. The format involves a short interview where you can share your thoughts on Cellframe Network’s performance.
On July 22, we launched a giveaway on our Cellframe Social X (Twitter) account. The main requirement was to share an idea for a future Cellframe-based service.
A week later, we announced the winners — users from India, Nigeria, and Russia. Congratulations to the winners! Follow us to not miss more giveaways!
Then, on July 24, we held a regular AMA session with Cellframe’s lead, Dmitry Gerasimov. Dmitry answered questions submitted in advance and from the live chat during the stream. You can watch the recording on our YouTube channel, and the full transcript of this AMA is available here!
